When you are looking for a game to play on your PC, you want an action-packed, non-stop, full throttle experience. That is just what you will get with Crysis. Crysis is first-person-shooter game spiced with science fiction. Since the release of Crysis in November of last year, it has sold well over a million copies around the globe and is showing no signs of slowing down.

An alien spacecraft has been found under the surface of the Earth. You take on the role of Jake Dunn, an operator for the United States Delta Force, who must travel to four separate locations and do battle with the North Koreans as well as alien life forms with the help of your “Nano Muscle Suit.”

In 2007, Crysis was named “Best Shooter” for its challenging game play and “Best Graphics” for its intense on screen action by GameSpot. Also in 2007, Crysis was named by Gamereactor as the “Best Action Game.” In March of 2008, PC Gamer named Crysis both “Game of the Year” as well as “Action Game of the Year.”

Crytek has announced that Crysis is only the first installment in a planned trilogy. The sequel is predicted to pick up where the original leaves off.

X Box / PC Games with a Difference

Gone are the days of pinball parlours and arcade games, well, at least to the point they were.

Why bother going out when you can have arcade games in the comfort of your own home with the advent of the X Box Version 360 and the humble home computer.

There are software games available for both the X Box and PC providing a whole new concept of home-based games and with a choice of whatever style of game appeals to the individual. The genre’ within these games is staggering as to are the graphics and sound.

You can lip-sync to karaoke, you can create a civilization from scratch, you can play war games, race exotic sports cars you name it and you can buy software to take you there.

You can play interactive games with your friends while each of you remain in your own home – the technology is unsurpassed, for the moment at least.

The Experiment is both different, and different with a twist. There are endless puzzles, problem solving and having to dig for passwords – a real learning curve that takes you to the edge of sanity.

The Sims is one of the all time greatest virtual life games ever created and newer versions are upgraded and created – the current release is no. 7 in the series.

Then there is the Music/Action genre’ – with games like Guitar Rocks and Audiosurf that are totally riveting and transcend karaoke to the nth degree. Although karaoke has its place (with the girls) – it is a lame duck compared to these 2 software games for the guys. Awesome!
